Vladimir Ryzhkov, politician and opposition leader this weekend commented on the 9th anniversary of Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s arrest:

“There is another sad day this week, for exactly nine years ago, in Novosibirsk, Mikhail Khodorkovsky was arrested. For 9 years he has been imprisoned for two, in my point of view, completely fabricated, invented cases. And I just want to use this opportunity to wish him, his family, relatives and friends, courage and hope. I very much hope that Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Platon Lebedev and other people involved in the case, will be released as soon as possible, and those criminals who fabricated these cases – will be punished.”
