In 2012, Novaya Gazeta published a series of letters between their editor-in-chief Dmitry Muratov and Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

Muratov asks Khodorkovsky for his views on the demands of the participants of the recent protests and his opinions of being a “resource” amongst political figures in the pre-election race.
