The State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev spoke to Natella Boltyanskaya on the ‘Glasnost Territory’ program about his visit to Mikhail Khodorkovsky in Segezha on 27th July 2012.

Ponomarev, who hadn’t spoken to Khodorkovsky since 2002, stated: “I have a long history of relations with Mikhail Borisovich. I worked in Yukos. I know very well what in this affair is the truth and what is not. Personally, I have always felt great warmth and respect towards Mikhail Borisovich”.

Citing the most emotionally memorable moment of the meeting the deputy quoted Mikhail Khodorkovsky: “I feel freer here than during the last year when I was actually free”.
