In September 2013 Mikhail Khodorkovsky was awarded the 2013 Lech Walesa Award for “courage in promoting the values of civil society”. Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s son Pavel received the Award on behalf of his father during the ceremony in the Polish city of Gdansk.
