The Khodorkovsky Press Centre today launched its campaign to highlight the approaching 10th anniversary of Khodorkovsky’s arrest and imprisonment on October 25 2003.

A lot has happened to the Khodorkovsky family in the last decade, children grew up, parents celebrated their golden wedding jubilee and Mikhail’s father Boris Moiseevich celebrated his 80th Birthday… For every person in the world, for each individual Khodorkovsky family member, 10 years is an entire epoch.

Today supporters are asked to write letters describing what has happened and has changed in their own lives during past 10 years – in other words, Khodorkovsky’s 10 years measured in personal events. The campaign is encouraging supporters to begin each letter with the words:  “While Khodorkovsky is imprisoned…”
