Kremlin Madness: S04 E106
Continuing our series looking at the madness of the people who think they have the God-given right to rule over us.
Prime Minister and United Russia leader Dmitry Medvedev was asked a good question at the Territory of Meanings forum: why is it that young teachers in Dagestan receive 10,000-15,000 roubles a month, while the police get upwards of 50,000 roubles?
Medvedev rounded off his long-winded reply by saying that, actually, teachers could always make some extra money on the side. Or go into business.
“I’m often asked about this. Teaching’s a vocation. But if you want to earn money, there’s a whole host of great places where you can do so faster and better. Business being one of them. But you didn’t want to go into business, if I understand correctly? Well, there you go then (laughs).”
If, like us, you never cease to be astounded by Medvedev’s pronouncements, and if, more generally, you resent the party of power’s attitude towards its own people, we urge all Russians to vote in the State Duma elections in September 18th, because there is an alternative.
