At the Warsaw Security Forum 2025, Mikhail Khodorkovsky spoke to the TALKING WITH TVP WORLD and discussed why the West failed to stop the war in Ukraine, how Putin maintains power despite setbacks, and what must happen for real change in Russia. He said that it’s up to the Russians and the West what Russia will look like after Putin. According to him, Russia can either become a vassal state of China or it can integrate with the West.

He also commented on Russian drone provocations near Poland as part of psychological warfare.
