Moscow Joins Khodorkovsky’s Worldwide Solidarity Readings

The Sakharovsky Centre in Moscow will take part in the Worldwide Solidarity Readings dedicated to Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Platon Lebedev and all Russia’s political prisoners on Friday 25th October.

The Readings, promoted by the Berlin International Literature Festival, are set to take place on the day of the 10th anniversary of Khodorkovsky’s arrest. Writers, actors, thinkers, and activists across the World will be reading out letters and articles written by Mikhail Khodorkovsky. Among the prominent guests are Nobel laureates Elfriede Jelinek, Mario Vargas Llosa, Herta Müller, and John Coetzee, philosopher and essayist André Glucksmann, and journalist Grigory Pasko.

Among those joining the Readings in Moscow will be the poet Lev Rubenshtein, the actress Yulia Aug, and cultural scientist Yelena Volkova. Anyone is welcome to take part in the Readings or just listen to others and enjoy the event.
