Pavel Khodorkovsky In Die Welt: Russia’s Opposition Needs Courage

Germany’s leading daily newspaper Die Welt has today published an interview with Pavel Khodorkovsky in which he talks about his father’s condition, human rights, the state of Russia’s opposition and his outlook for the future.

While Pavel states that his father is in good condition, he talked about how his prominent status can cause certain hardships, such as the decision to prevent him from conducting video conference calls with his family.

Asked about the current state of the opposition, Pavel replied that he believes Russia is not ready for a revolution or far-reaching reforms and that the fragmentation of the opposition is still its major weakness.
