Pavel Khodorkovsky was interviewed by Boris Raitshuster for the German newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. In the interview Pavel reflected on whether his father has changed in the past ten years. “He [Mikhail Khodorkovsky] is the same person he was 10 years ago. He has the same face, and the same demeanour,” said Pavel.

He also noted that his father has become more attentive to his family and children, but at the same time, could not imagine that this would be the sole focus of his father’s life. Mikhail Khodorkovsky is already looking for a field of activity, said Pavel, and is focused on the struggle to free Russian political prisoners.

“They are still keeping hostage my father’s former colleague,” said Pavel, referring to the continued imprisonment of former Yukos employee, Alexei Pichugin.
