Solidarity Event In Paris On Anniversary Of Khodorkovsky Arrest

A number of human rights NGO’s will gather in Paris on October 25, in a solidarity event timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s arrest.  Among the participants are Amnesty International France, the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH), Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the Ligue des Droits de l’Homme, ACAT, and Russie-Libertes.

The event will include a forum to discuss Russia’s work camps and an exhibition comprising a collection of photographs from the ‘Russian Visionaries’ exhibition. An excerpt from Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s new book ‘A Russian Prisoner’ will also be read to the audience as part of a larger international programme of readings around the world.

The event will close with a performance of young French and Russian musicians, including the rising star and critic of the Kremlin, Vasya Oblomov.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event and entry is free of charge.
