“At 15.00 we were assaulted at a public hustings. One of our canvassers received a nasty head injury. The film crew for Open Russia was also attacked, the cameraman getting a head injury and his camera apparently smashed. A bottle filled with liquid was thrown at me. The scuffle was all cooked up by the owners of the Three Little Pigs café, and was witnessed by dozens of people who came to the hustings.”
