The election commissions in St Petersburg have refused to register self-nominee Alexandr Shurshev and PARNAS trio Daniil Ken, Sergey Kuzin and Lev Dmitriev as candidates for the city Legislative Assembly elections. The commissions have also refused to consider their complaints even though they contested a significant percentage of rejected signatures.

The candidates are convinced that this decision is politically motivated, and plan to challenge it in court.
