Pavel Khodorkovsky: “I Will Tell My Father About This Exhibition, He Will Be Very Happy”
Earlier this week, Pavel Khodorkovsky opened an exhibition dedicated to his father in the ‘Tallinn Portrait Gallery’.
The Estonian exhibition, entitled ‘Prison and Freedom’, features the photographic work of New York based photographer Misha Friedman along with photographs from Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s private collection.
Among the visitors was composer Arvo Pärt, who gave Pavel a recording of his fourth symphony in honour of Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
In an exclusive interview with the Russian online newspaper Postimees, Pavel Khodorkovsky said that he dreams of an actual meeting with his father. In the past ten years they have only stayed in touch via phone calls or letters: “When I will speak with him this Sunday, I will tell him that there is an exhibition about him in Estonia,” he said.
‘Prison and Freedom’ exhibition is open from October 3 until November 13.
