“In the 21st century, in front of our eyes. A shameful judicial process is taking place, the rulings of which are decided out of the courtroom, and all this is happening in a country which is bound by the so called strategic partnerships with the EU. (…) The European Parliament takes note with concern of the ruling handed down by the Russian appeal court against Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business associate Lebedev on 26 May 2011 as a continuation of politically motivated court decisions; condemns political interference with the trial; welcomes Presidents Medvedev’s decision to examine this case in Presidential Human Rights Council’ welcomes the Europeans Court of Human Rights’ ruling in this case accepting Khodorkovsky’s claims of unlawful detention”
