On October 25 2012, the 9th anniversary of the arrest of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the Institute for Modern Russia (IMR) hosted an event in New York to launch the U.S. edition of the new memoir, “Putin’s Prisoner.”

IMR President Pavel Khodorkovsky, Mikhail’s eldest son, addressed the audience and reflected on the anniversary of his arrest.  The event also featured appearances by other prominent Russia watchers, including Vladimir Kara-Murza.

More than 150 people attended the event and were provided with copies of Khodorkovsky’s book courtesy of IMR, while Pavel Khodorkovsky was on hand distributing signed copies.  To see photos of the event, please visit our Photo Gallery here on the website.
