On 10th August 2012 the Prosecutor of the Velsk district, the Arkhangelsk region appealed against the ruling of the Velsk District Court on 8th August 2012 to secure the motion of Platon Lebedev’s lawyers to reduce his prison term due to the changes in a number of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation articles.
The appeal was based on the Prosecutor’s disagreement with an excessive reduction of Lebedev’s punishment for over 3 years.
